Ottawa Music Teacher charged with multiple child sex offences

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section has charged an Ottawa man with ten offences after an investigation.
The investigation began in May into historical reports of sexual assault.
Gerard LOEHR, 56 years old, of Ottawa has been charged with five counts of sexual assault and five counts of sexual interference.
The charges relate to five separate victims, all of them children, dating back to 2000.
Between 2000 and 2003, LOEHR taught middle school level music in the west end of Ottawa. He also instructed privately in his home.
Investigators believe that there may be other victims.
